Computers, Internet, and Wireless Access
The library offers ten computer work-stations that provide free public access to the Internet via high speed cable connection.
Three are located in the Children’s Area and are for use by children 15 and under or a Parent supervising their child.
All have word processing and spreadsheet software, with either Microsoft Word and Excel or Open Office. You may sign up for one 30-minute time per day. You may extend you time if no one is waiting.
Individuals wishing to use public computers must first read and agree to the terms of our Acceptable Use Form; it is completed on the first visit only. Next, and on all future visits in individuals must sign in using the number on the card, randomly selected. If all computers are in use individuals must wait until a library worker calls their number.
Parents and caregivers be advised the library does not use filters. The library strongly urges parents to monitor their child’s use of the internet
The Library is a secure Wi-Fi hotspot. The password is available at the desk. Laptop users are responsible for their own connection to our network, and must abide by the library’s acceptable use policy. Printing is available but requires an IP address and addition of a port. Users must have the technical expertise install a printer after receiving the IP Address at the desk. Library staff are not available for technical support.
